Where can I check if Salvage has been enabled or not for netware 5.1 and
where is to 30 days, 60 days, etc. before it is permanently purged from
system.

Thanks,
jaguar

Problem is that I do not know if these options existed in NSS for 5.1. Assuming this *is* an NSS volume and not a TFS one? What does the command VOLUMES say?

Salvage is always enabled (at least on TFS volumes, I fail to receall if
NSS volumes on NW5.1 can be created without salvage or not), but there
is no configurable time after which files are purged. Rather, files are
purged when the server needs the space. That can be 5 minutes or 5 years
after the deletion.

NSS Volumes should look like this:

Mounted Volumes Name Spaces Flags
SYS DOS, MAC, NFS, LONG NSS
_ADMIN DOS, MAC, NFS, LONG NSS P
