Hi. We have a large number of documents that we wish to export out of
our database on the Novell server. These files are generated as print
jobs and we want to turn these files into PDF documents.

I know Novell keeps track of print jobs in queues using the .SYS file
in each queue directory. How can we remove the files from a queue
directory cleanly?

The ideal option would be to have some sort of PDF printer installed on
the server so that the print job automatically gets converted on the fly
to a PDF file.

We are running Netware 6.

(I apologize for posting to the wrong forum, but the Netware 6 forum
and the printing forum both appear to no longer be active.)

or what is now known as the requirement portal.
If customers would like to give input in the upcoming
releases of Novell products then they should go to

You can try ftp://ftp.dreamlan.com/dsqmover.zip, which as a file export
option, to see if it helps. You can then find a method to convert the
files from whatever format they are in to PDF ...
