Hi,

I decided to mirror my existing drive, bought an identical drive, and
formatted it exactly the same as the NW drive, added a NW partition with
the exact same size and with the exact same hotfix parameters.

Both drives are Seagate 320 GB, both are on separate IDE controllers,
and both are fully recognized by DOS and by NW.

When I try to mirror the drives, I get the following:

No available NetWare disk partitions are compatible
with the selected drive. (nwconfig-5-164)

Does any one have any idea how to work around this? I thought that by
buying the identical drive, it would avoid the drive size problems,
etc., but obviously not.

Remove the NW partition you added and leave it as free space. The
mirroring process will create it to the right size.

Thanks, I guess I got it right, I recreated the partition a number of
times with different sizes and different configurations and finally, it
worked.

Now, next question. How long does it take to remirror? It has been
going on about 18 hours and it have the message "Mirrored object 0x0B is
being remirrored. (53% complete)". We are in the server but it is VERY
SLOW as you can imagine.

Its a 320 Gig Seagate IDE.

It takes between 2 minutes and 2 days, depending on size, hardware
speed, and so on. Never do it in production hours.
