hi

know if they can hide the mapped drives that are not in my pc with
novell 5.x

this is so that the user does not see the contents of the drive

Why not just not map the drives you don't want to see? Once a drive
letter is established then as far as I know Windows can't then be told
to hide it; you can of course use NetWare file system rights to prevent
viewing of the contents, but that seems perverse.

I am with Andrew here. Do not map if they are not supposed to use them.
There are instances where you need to have drives that users are not
supposed to see, in which case you can use a windows policy to hide
them.

my case is that the drive mapping h into my mapped drive and also have
some applications my databases and I want to avoid is that my users can
not see the databases for any copy

because they have limited writing and other things


that's my problem

OK. It will be "security by obscurity" but look at Windows policies. Can
be pushed out by ZEN or a humble batchfile.
