Find Files with No Owner11/9/2009 4:36:02 AM

Hello,

Can anyone help me find a way to identify files with no valid owner?

Possibly users who have left an organisation. I would like to retrieve
some storage space. Is there an easy way to do this or is there a tool I
can use to report on this?

Thanks

Thax

IIRC are files where the owner has gone set to have "SUPERVISOR" as owner.
In that case, just use NDIR from a dos prompt. Type NDIR /? For help.

To Anders Gustafsson

Nope, the owner shows up as 'N/A' - see TID 10019105 for a couple of Ndir
syntaxes to clear the problem

Cheers Dave

You can do this with DSRAZOR for eDirectory/NDS and NetWare. Try the applet
called "Disk Space in use, Files Owned/Unowned" in the Examine Servers/Disks
section of the DSRAZOR Console. Select the server, then the volume, then
use the "Find Files with NO Owner" button. An evaluation is available from:
