betrieve file help1/16/2009 5:06:02 PM

We are running novell 5.1 and the pervasive sql client 9.5. We seem to
be having an issue witht he software called "Surgiserv" running on
novell. There is a function within this software called "Modbase" which
basically lets the end use go into the database and mod the files (make
corrections of entered data)
Problem being is when this part of the software is ran, the utilized
files are getting renamed for example file modwork.btr is getting
renamed to modwor~.btr along with about 4 other mod BTR files. At this
point the software complains Error cannot find modwork.btr, because it
has been renamed. The file owner and modifier are being changed for each
of these files also.

Any ideas?

HELP!

This is clearly an issue with the Surgiserv software, possibly also
Btrieve (ie Pervasive). Nothing to do with NetWare or Novell, sorry.
