I spent 6 months trying to get DotNetNuke up and running.  Servergrid web hosting puts way too many sites on the same server.  My site would sometimes take over 5 minutes to load.  Often it would not load at all.  I cancelled my subscription with them and two months later I have still not received my refund.

Well Sue them and get some nice money and tell them how much grief and misery and suffering it has caused you that you had to post this on the web and also a guilt feeling that you wanted other people to know.

I called them and told them I was posting about my experience with their company and now I got a refund notification from PayPal for more than what I was expecting.  Problem solved.

Great advice!  Sue them?   Their hosting service is cheaper then what it costs me to have a newspaper delivered.

If you don't like them just go somewhere else.

I already went somewhere else.  I had been waiting for my refund for 2 months since I paid for a year in advance.

Where did you end up moving your DNN site to?

We would like to address the claims made by this former customer in his posts above.

First, for any concerns about the speed of our service or our support for DotNetNuke please see the following DotNetNuke test site, running on the same type of shared account this customer used:

http://dotnetnuke.securedc.com

Second, it is true this customer's refund was not initiated during cancellation due to an oversight on our part.  That being said, the delay reached two months only because that is how long the customer took to bring the oversight to our attention and confirm where he wanted the refund to be sent.  The account was canceled on 6/13, and the customer first contacted us via email about this on 7/24.  The next day we asked him to confirm which PayPal account he would like us to use for the refund, then we did not hear from him again until 8/7 and his refund was issued on 8/9.  Out of the two months he reported, the customer was waiting for an answer from us for a total of only 3 days.

Thank you for your time.

I am so glad to hear that this has been resolved and because you took the time to write back here shows that you do take your buisness seriously and a customer is not left hanging about.

All cheers to citizen journalism. Wow this is real Democracy.
