Problem populating Table

I once wrote an ASP.NET page that worked fine with this code in it:

(VB.Net:)

Dim NewCell = New HTMLTableCell 


Dim NewRow = New HTMLTableRow  


             


NewCell.InnerHTML = "Year" 


NewRow.Cells.Add(NewCell) 


SumTrailerTable.Rows.Add(NewRow) 


             


Dim tbl as DataTable = dsUtilityPropLiab.Tables("TrailerGrid") 


Dim DR as DataRow 


For Each DR In tbl.Rows 


   NewRow = New HTMLTableRow 


   NewCell = New HTMLTableCell 


   NewCell.InnerText = DR.Item("Year") 


   NewRow.Cells.Add(NewCell) 


   SumTrailerTable.Rows.Add(NewRow) 


Next

I'm tried to run it now, and I got this error on the first line:

BC30002: Type 'HTMLTableCell' is not defined

So I added this to the top of the file:

Imports System.Web.UI.HTMLControls

which resolved that error but led to this one:

BC30451: Name 'SumTrailerTable' is not declared.

So I added these lines after the Import, above:

Imports Imports System.Web.UI.WebControls 


Protected WithEvents SumTrailerTable As System.Web.UI.WebControls.Table

which solved that problem, but led to this unhandled exception:

Specified Cast is not valid.

At one point I got an error concerning incompatibilty between the table in HTML and the Library, so I changed my table in the HTML to <asp:table...>. That resolved the error but also lead to:

Specified Cast is not valid

Can anyone help me understand what's going on? Thank you!

do this -> Dim SumTrailerTable as new HtmlTable
