OnComponentChanged does not fire for Collection property12/28/2004 8:45:54 PM

I have a control inherited from a panel with a complex property, "Map". Map has "NotifyParentProperty(true)", "DesignerSerializationVisibility(DesignerSerializationVisibility.Content)", and PersistenceMode(PersistenceMode.InnerProperty) attributes.

Map has a read only collection property, "Layers". I've tried the following combinations for Layers:
- [NotifyParentProperty(true), DesignerSerializationVisibility(DesignerSerializationVisibility.Content]
- [NotifyParentProperty(true), DesignerSerializationVisibility(DesignerSerializationVisibility.Visible)]
- [NotifyParentProperty(true), DesignerSerializationVisibility(DesignerSerializationVisibility.Content, PersistenceMode(PersistenceMode.InnerProperty]
- [NotifyParentProperty(true), DesignerSerializationVisibility(DesignerSerializationVisibility.Visible), PersistenceMode(PersistenceMode.InnerProperty]

In none of the cases will the Layers persist as an Inner Property.

Nor will the OnComponentChanged event fire if I change a property of an item in the Layers collection.

1. How do I get my Layers and items to persist as Inner Properties?
2. When all of my properties for the Layers item (Layer) have the NotifyParentProperty attribute, why doesn't the control designers' OnComponentChanged event fire?

Note: I do not want to set an inner default property, because I eventually want "Map" to have multiple collection properties.

This one always bugs me and I rarely remember

Try adding
[RefreshProperties(RefreshProperties.All)]

Thanks for the input, but that didn't work either. I would also like the OnComponentChanged event to fire when I add an item to the collection. Any ideas on this one?
