I have a custom validation summary control to which I have added a pair of new properties, namely footer text and email contact - the control is rendering perfectly if I leave all the validation and rendering on the server side - my new properties get rendered within the summary area

Nut now what I need to do is hook into the client side stuff as well - so that I can add these two areas below the validator as well - I have managed to add the properties to the div in the same fashion but without hooking into the client script these will not display

It looks like I need to hook into the function ValidationSummaryOnSubmit() - but I really dont want to alter the webUIvalidation.js script as this means that if MS upgrade it - ny changes may be wiped out

Any ideas on how I can get around this - I was thinking of something using function pointers to interception the original render script and replace it with my own - is that the best approach
