Error creating RAM Disk on IBM Blade4/29/2005 1:15:47 AM

I am trying to deploy an image to an IBM Blade in a Blade Centre.

Server finds ADS server OK, and tries to boot to deployment agent. As it is loading the ram disk during "requesting bootable image from build server" phase, the progress bar almost completes.

However, at the very end - and error is thrown

"Windows could not start due to an error while booting from a RAMDISK. Windows failed to build a bootable RAMDISK image. Rebooting in 5 seconds."

Has anyone seen this error, or had experience deploying ADS on IBM blades?

Are there builder errors in the event log of the controller?

Did you use SP1 media when prompted during the installation of ADS 1.0?

Google search gave me a lead - network drivers for ibm blade aren't picked up by vanilla windows - and my theory of the ram image also being the same was correct.

Added the drivers to the PreSystem folder in ADS and it worked!!

I have the same problem and also updated the NIC drivers but it's still not working. Could you let me know the details on what you did?

I would love to be able to go to the system I installed and have a look, but the trial was deemed to fit our needs and the blade centre was returned.

I remember that I took the network drivers from the ibm driver cd, and put the windows 2003 drivers in the pre sys folder.  Wasn't much more to it than that.  I found out everything I needed in order to do the trial from the ADS doco chm file.  It has pretty much everything, so I would grab that and trawl through it to find what you need.
