Is that true? Cuz my host isn?t doing that. And I just made another application that use de App_Code folder, it is a sample class file, which I can not run on-line. Actually I'm using the network solutions as host that is giving me a lot of headaches, there I can?t even handle global.asa.

Which version of ASP.NET are you working with?

Do you have access to run IIS Admin on host machine?

What platform did you test your Web Service on before deploying it?

You mention global.asa - do you mean global.asax? If you are trying to run ASP.NET on a machine that only has ASP enabled, it will not work!

What is the host machine O/S?

I'm working with ASP.NET 2.0,

I don?t have access to IIS on Network Solutions

Windows XP Pro SP2, VS 2005 SP1

I typed wrong, it is global.asax

In the host I don't have idea

It is very strange because, when I create a web reference of the file .asmx from the host and I run it in my machine it works. In another words: I can call the deployed service, but when I call from the own host it doesn't work.

Without access to the IIS Admin, you will be unable to verify what the site will run. Even if it is IIS6, unless the ASP.NET type(s) is enabled, an ASP.NET page will not run.

If you are looking to host your asp.net web service, then I would recommend Discountasp.net, as they specialize in asp.net hosting. Network Solutions started as a domain registrar, then they offered hosting, so their hosting services will be lacking as domain registration is their core competency.

You can consider using SoftSys Web Hosting Solutions as they support ASP.NET(1.1 & 2.0) and is really cheap and very reliable. I am using their services of 3 of my sites.
