Hi Nanda,

You should use the Microsoft ASP.Net AJAX Futures to make the WebParts work well in FireFox. You need to change the default WebPartManager and WebPartZone to the ones in AJAX Futures.

Check out this http://ajax.asp.net/

And this http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2006/01/20/436034.aspx

Hope this helps,

But I found some articles said AJAX 1.0 doesn't support webpart?? Also I can't find any sample code in this article, http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2006/01/20/436034.aspx . Could you give us more hands-on code? Thanks~~

Hi CodeYun,

AJAX 1.0 doesn't support placing WebPartZone inside UpdatePanel which it means that Drag and drop WebParts with partial update is currently not supported.

But If you don't need that feature, AJAX 1.0 Futures still supports normal WebPart drag and drop in FF.

Hope this helps,

Dear spvlong:

Thanks for your help. I think maybe because I am using the AJAX 1.0 workaround patch. I get that patch from here:

http://forums.asp.net/thread/1621227.aspx. Maybe you can check this out? Give some more adivces?

Maybe I'm just crazy, but I've done all these hotfixes, installed all the newest versions of AJAX, CTP, blah blah blah and STILL no drag'n'drop in firefox. Whats the deal? is there something I'm still missing??

I was running into the same exact thing, however, did get it to work.

Here is the post that I placed, as well as what I needed to do to get it to work with the help of several much more knowledgeable than I.

Cheers
