Personalization and Anonymous users12/18/2007 7:07:35 PM

Hi;

I wonder if there's a way to accomplish this:
An logged in administrator personalizes the web site (using web parts) and after he has logged out, all anonymous users will see the changes he (administrator) made and off course, anonymous users wont be able make any changes.

The goal here is make easyer to the administrator to change the web site appearance editing, adding and removing parts/modules (something similar what DotNetNuke does).

I think you're on the wrong path here.

The idea of personalization and web parts is that it enables users to personalize the site. You are trying to do just the opposite: forcing the administrator's personalization onto the user.

What you want is rather something like content management (CMS).

Hmmm... Yes and no

I no...
That's exactly what i'm talking about, a CMS system.
About the ASP.NET web parts and personalization, i just though i could use it with a few changes instead of build my hole system from scratch.
