Hello everone,

i try to explain: i?ve written a treeview webpart to receive all webs in a wss 3.0 application. Now i can check the webs in the treeview and want to add an other webpart to the selected webs.

Here is my problem: I have to give the WebpartManager the page context. As far as i understand i?m able to get the context not until the page has started to build. Is it possible to do a "remote call" to the page and catch the init-event to add my webparts at that state? Or could changing the masterpage help me to work this out?

I?m quiet a rookie on sharepoint, don?t hesitate to tell me that this can never work.

Hi,

In the web part, you cannot control the parent page to do something. Also, the "remote call" is impossible. This can only be done in the Page.Init in the parent page event handler.
