Do i need Upload APP_DATA folder to remote Server?1/19/2006 6:05:06 PM

0/0

i am new in asp.net 2.0 and SQL 2005 , i just made a simple Webpart page in local , it work perfect and APP_DATA had create ASPNETDB.MDF file, then i apply a hosting service (www.aspnix.com), it support asp.net 2.0 & SQL 2005, so i upload the *.aspx, *.aspx.vb, web.config, and whole APP_DATA with ASPNETDB.MDF to hosting server on same directory. But it seem it doesn't work. it show the error message below:

An error has occurred while establishing a connection to the server.  When connecting to SQL Server 2005, this failure may be caused by the fact that under the default settings SQL Server does not allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 25 - Connection string is not valid)

it make me confuse, what can i do to fix the problem ? thx

Better you contact your hosting provider's support to solve this issue for you. Looks like there is a problem in your connectionstring or that the MSSQL 2005 service is not running there.
