ASPNETMERGE warning 'Cannot find any assemblies that can be merged'10/2/2006 7:55:09 AM

I have a 'Web Application' project and made a deployment project for it.  Everything is working fine, but I am getting the following
warning when running msbuild.

ASPNETMERGE : warning 1013: Cannot find any assemblies that can be
merged in the application bin folder.

Can anyone elaborate on this?  Is it because a deployment project isn't necessary needed for a Web App project?

Well, upon reflecting upon the issue, there is only one assembly.  So, I imagine that is why it can't find any to merge. 

But I how can I make resolve the warning? It looks disconcerting and makes other people question if everything's really ok with the deployment.

 

any help much appreciated.

I ran into the same problem. I don't know the underlying issue, but I was able to fix it. I opened the properties page of the Web Deploy Project, then in the Output  Assemblies section select the option 'Create a separate assembly for each page and control output'.
