User Control Libraries

I am using the WAP RC version and tried out the User Control Libraries Tutorial posted on http://webproject.scottgu.com. It works but I am getting errors when in Html mode on a page referencing one of these shared user control. It works as expected in runtime (the ascx has been copied in a subdirectory) and the designer view also displays correctly the control. The Html view is complaining that it doesn't find the ascx file, until you add it in the projet (default is excluded). This obvisouly won't work in a Source Safe scnenario, where you don't want these files to be checked in. Am I doing something wrong here or are others experiencing similar issues ?

Hi Roger,

You will get a red squiggly in source view if the file isn't part of the project and HTML validation is enabled (note: this doesn't block compilation or design-view, so if you want you can just ignore it).

This blog post walksthrough how to turn off HTML validation: http://weblogs.asp.net/scottgu/archive/2005/11/23/431350.aspx which will make it disappear entirely.
