Converting VS2005 Web Site to Web Application9/18/2006 3:41:44 PM

0/0

I have made a Web Application copy of an existing VS2005 Web Site project, however all the form controls controls are seemingly unknown to the code behind, yet the controls are present on the ASPX form. I have tried switching from design to source view and back again. (The original VS2005 Web Site version did compile OK.)

Any Ideas?

The answer to my problem turned out to be

Step 4: Converting the Project Files from http://webproject.scottgu.com/CSharp/migration2/migration2.aspx.

The missing step was that I had not gone to the root of the project, right -clicked and select "Convert to Web Application". Once this was done, xxx.aspx.designer.cs files were CREATED FOR EACH xxx.aspx.

(Also I can turn on XML documentation on the web site.)
