VWD 2008

I'm sure there are a ton of benifits that VWD 2008 offers over VWD 2005 Hmm that I am just not using at the momemt, but something as simple as laying out a page has taken me 10X the amount of time that it use to take using 2005. As much as I like typing code Hmm I rather see results then spend my time typing in formatting code (really good if you want to learn all about the div, sytle etc...). Before I give up on 2008 I was wondering could someone show me the light? Show me a simple way to format a web form so that is looks neat without having to type in code every time, or encapsulate everything in a div, with style and manually line everything up using a grid. I know that express edition is suppose to be a learning tool, but I want to get to the meat of the matter not play in the rice all day Idea ... Does VWD standard or pro edition have these same limitations?

If you learn CSS styling and positioning, your web pages will take hardly any time at all to lay out. Once you have the style sheet set up for the first one, all the others can use the same rules.

If you want to be a serious web developer, then you should invest time learning all about div, style etc.

That is exactly what I needed to hear. I am a beginer so anything that I can learn to make my web pages look better and conform to universal standards is what I would like to do. I have also spoken with a friend that works as web developer and he mentioned the CSS is a better formatting tool because it works well with different web browsers. Thanks for the kind words. How would I go about chaning the location of a label control using CSS?

I found the way.

Funny enough, CSS only does for me what I was doing manually, when it comes to laying out labels and what not. It is a little faster then the way I was doing it before but it is still not as fast as in 2005.
