Could somebody please help me. I have installed Visual Web Developer 2008 Express and everytime I open it and try to create a new project or open an existing web application I get the following error message:-

 "The Visual Studio language support for IRONPYTHON has not been installed. Code-editing Intellisense will not be available. Markup Intellisense for server controls may not work."

When I click on OK, another dialog box pops saying "Microsoft Visual WD has encountered a problem and needs to close"

I have reinstalled Visual Web Developer 2008 but I still getting the same error. I have Visual Studio 2005 Standard edition, Visual C# 2008 Express and Visual Basic 2008 Express installed on the same box.

Are you trying to edit pages in IronPython? VWD Express does not support languages beyond C# or VB. You can get basic HTML support if you right click on the file, choose Open With... and select HTML Editor from the list.

 I do not have Iron Python installed and I do get the error message when I try to edit pages in VWD Express 2008. I create a new ASP.NET Web Site and select C# as my language of choice and then after that when i try to edit the default.aspx page, the error pops up on the screen and VWD then crashes.

 I have finally fixed the problem. Sometime beginning of this year I installed VWD Beta 1 and when I uninstalled it from my computer, it did not remove all keys from the registry. These old registry settings were affecting the new VWD 2008 Express so I uninstalled VWD 2008, removed all VWD ver 9.0 keys from the registry, restarted the computer, and reinstalled VWD 2008 Express.
