Is Expression Web Inbuilt in ( VWD )Orcas Express....?

Hi,

I was please to go through the advantages of ( VWD ) Orcas Express.

I also read that Expression Web will be fully suppopted by Visual Studio Orcas.

Can some one make it clear that will Expression Web Support ( VWD ) Orcas Express too...?
Will we experience the HTML and CSS advantantages as a built in Feature in Orcas Express...?

The question is who will buy Expression Web, if all this features are given free with VWD ( Orcas ).
there should be some limitations in features like Visual Studio VS VWD.

Just puzzled.

The Expression Web team and the Visual Studio team worked together. NOt all of the features of EWD are included in any Orcas SKU, including the Visual Studio full versions. But, most of the basics of the designer are included, so developers do not have to buy two products. The designer features should also appear in VWD Orcas Express Edition. Not sure how much of the IDE features will be included.

EWD is still a tool focused on designers, not developers. For those who do not want to code, but need full CSS compatibility, a decent site management scheme, site reports, etc., that are not all included in WVD Express, there will still be an audience.

Expression Web and VWD Orcas Express do share a common WYSIWYG design surface to enable an seamless experience between our design and developer tools. While the experience is the same for the most part, certain features have been customized depending on audience. For example, the "Layout Tables" feature will not be available in VWD Orcas. The core CSS support however is largely identical between the two products.

To answer the question "who will buy Expression Web?": VWD and Visual Studio are currently in Beta with still a fair amount of time until final release. Thus right now, Expression Web is the only place you can get the cutting-edge design surface. Both products are evolving as we speak, and by the time VWD releases, Expression Web will most likely also have evolved to include some new features we can't comment on. =)

Thanks for that Mikhail - I gues it goes without saying that most of the features that aren't in VS Orcas are tools for designers...having used VS Orcas now for quite a while I must say that the components of Expression Web in VS Orcas has made a significant improvement to the whole product :-)
