How can a C# function be called from VB (Visual Web Developer 2008 Express)?10/29/2007 4:39:42 PM

I have a complex C# class that I'd rather not try to convert to VB due to the QA effort that would be involved.  I would like to call a function on the C# class from VB.  It's passed a String and it returns a String.  I've been so far unable to find any resources/examples on how to do this.  Can someone help me out?  Thanks in advance.

Well make a dll of the c#, add a reference in the project to the dll by add reference and browse to add dll .

If you build it as a dll and reference the dll from your project, your code will be able to call it no problem.

Express edition does not support class libraries, at least not directly. You can use C# Express to create a library and put it in the bin folder though.
