Ctrl f5 does not navigate to my page3/11/2008 5:43:17 PM

Hi all,

I am using Visual Web Developer 2008 Express to create a simple site. I am using Windows XP SP-whatever is most up to date.

I make a new web site (project), and it makes the default page. I put some test text in it, and then hit ctrl-f5 to run it.

The development server starts up, and my web browser starts up (IE 7, most up to date), but the browser doesnt go to my site. It just shows a blank about page.

If I already have a web browers open, it switches focus to that browser but doesnt make it navigate to my page.

If I use the "view in browser" button, the site shows up. Also, if I click on the hyperlink listed as the root in the developer server, it also shows my site.

So, why is ctrl-f5 (or run from the menu) not making my browser navigate to my site, and how can I fix it?

Right click on your page and click "Set as Startup Page"

If everything happens for a reason what is the reason for this error?

Just tried that, it didnt fix anything.

As a note, the page is default.aspx.

Go into IIS --> right click on default web site --> Properties --> Documents --> make sure you see Default.aspx
