Hi,

First of all, I am a newbie to VWDExpress and ASP.NET.  I just downloaded it yesterday. 

I tried a search on this first but was unsuccessful.  Could someone point me in the right direction on the following?

I uploaded (copied via ftp) the personal web site starter kit to a folder on my Yahoo web hosting account just to see if I could view the web site.  All I get is either source code or xml files.  How do I view the new website?    I tried to enable the Front Page server extensions (right thing to do??) on the Yahoo web account but it did nothing. 

I am lost.  If anybody has any pointers or links to something please post.

If you cannot see your website nor error pages then you have to make sure that your Yahoo hosting does support ASP.NET

FrontPage extension is not recommended to publish websites (google it to see). It is better to use FTP.

Thanks for the input.  I bet the problem is that Yahoo doesn't support ASP.NET.  I'm going to try and contact them to be sure. 

Thanks for the tip on not using the FrontPage extensions. 

I may need to use another hoster.  I tried the vwd free hosting for a month and ended up with an error after I uploaded the zip file per the instructions. 

I am new so I am probably doing something wrong that is probably very simple.  I'll keep trying and thanks for the info.

Keep trying and update this thread when you need more help.
