MDAC Installation - Walkthrough failure1/24/2006 5:09:21 PM

0/0

When running the Guided Tour/Walkthrough: "Basic Data Access in Web Pages", the Prerequisites require MDAC, and there's a link in the Walkthrough that supposedly provides more information. However, when I click on the link, I get several script errors, and then an error page (see below).

None of the suggestions help... so I can't seem to get the MDAC information that I need to complete the Walkthrough.

Any ideas?

Thanks...jon

Sorry you're having link problems. The link is supposed to take you to this page:

Data Access and Storage Developer Center

We'll have a look at the link in the local MSDN docs.

That aside, it's possible that you already have the right version of MDAC installed. Presumably (?) you're not running XP or Windows 2003 -- ?

Thanks, Mike... That was just what the doctor ordered. Once I had installed MDAC 2.8 SP1, I was able to connect to my access and SQL databases...jon
