HyperLink to a .asp form

I am running VWD on my machine and trying to link to a .asp page that I created for test purposes. The .asp page exists in the same project as the .aspx page I am trying to link from. I have tried every button that proports to be a HyperLink or have a post back url to no avail. I get different error messages depending on which control I use. I can, however, link to a .aspx page using any of the controls I have tried. Will someone tell me how to link to a .asp page?
1. Button

The HTTP verb POST used to access path '/CustomSearch/Control.asp' is not allowed.

2. HyperLink

This type of page is not served.

3. LinkButton

The HTTP verb POST used to access path '/CustomSearch/Control.asp' is not allowed.

What is the location of your web site? If it is a file location (c:\websites\...) and you are running it under the ASP.NET Development server then these errors are expected because the ASP.NET development web server does not support ASP. Have you tried running it under IIS?
