Orcas beta 2 does not appear to support ajax extensions (out of the box) when multi-targeting to the .net 2.0 framework.
Ajax is automatically supported when creating a project targeting the .net 3.5 framework.
Does this mean I have to download and install the ajax extensions 1.0 when targeting the .net 2.0 framework in Orcas beta 2?
Also, do I need to install both versions of the ajax toolkit from the codeplex website? AjaxControlToolkit.zip and AjaxControlTookit-Framework3.5.zip?
I'm just targeting the .net 2.0 FW and desire the full VS2K8 IDE experience. i.e. asp control smart tags with toolkit extender options.
Do I get toolkit website templates?
I'm trying to set up a machine dedicated to using orcas beta 2 for developing .net 2.0 websites for deployment into production.
No side by side with VS2005 and no .net 3.5 (no hoster support for go
live license as yet). I want to take advantage of the great new
designer features ASAP - CSS, javascript intellisense, etc.
OS is Vista HP 32bit.
Thanks,
Declan
