Web Deployments menu item not visible on build menu fter installing SP15/29/2007 6:30:46 PM

Hi,

The menu item to create a new one is not visible on the build menu and the project type is not recognised after I installed VS2005 SP1

I have reinstalled, uninstalled and reinstalled again the web deployments msi to no avail.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried resetting the environment settings from the Tools -> Import and Export Settings... menu? We ended up with menu items being lost some time ago on one of our workstations and a full reset of the settings was needed to bring the items back.

Hi,

That didn't work, but I found the menu item in Tools->Customize->Commands->Build and added it on to my menu. Now the menu item appears but it is always greyed out...

Hi,

I just saw on another thread that you have to run

devenv /setup

 this takes a while but adds in the menu item and enables it.

success!
