VS2005 suddenly has problems loading packages12/13/2007 4:43:34 PM

My VS2005 installation suddenly has problems loading packages and now is telling me that there is no C# support installed.

Here are the error screen shots that posted on my personal site :

The only difference I can see is that a Windows update was installed this morning. It appears to have installed the .Net 3.0 framework, then right after that Windows update prompted me to install .Net 3.0 SP1, which I declined to install.

How can I rebuild the VS2005 modules. Do I need to pull out the VS CD and reinstall ?

Have you tried to rollback the last windwos update?

You mean using Windows Restore feature ? I'd have to discuss that with our network admin.

I actually downloaded the suggested visual studio troubleshooting tool which checks out the c:\windows\assembly\ directory for unwanted images directories.
