Visual Class Designer

At the PDC a graphical class design tool was demonstrated that was built into the IDE. Since I got home and have installed Whidbey on a dev machine I have been searching in vain for how to bring up this view. Did I miss something? Anyone know how to get to the graphical class designer?

unfortunately, this feature is not part of the PDC build you received. It will be part of the beta. Only about 2/3rds of the overall functionality is in the Tech Preview, and the rest will come online in the Beta which will be available in the Spring.

Thanks for the info. This was driving me nuts. What were the other cool features shown at PDC that are not part of the technology preview?

A few of the other features not in the PDC build:

-- Project to Project References (this is big if you have a multi-project solution)
-- Pre-Compile Site (compile source into a pure binary for deployment)
-- Compile Menu option to check source errors in IDE before F5
-- Accessibility Compliance Checker
-- New Data Design-time support (especially for ObjectDataSource)
-- Tag Outlining and Tag Navigator for Source View
-- Web.Config and App.SiteMap XML intellisense

All of these (and a lot more!) will show up with the Beta build.

Finally, got some answer here. The sourceview outlining is so cool that the first thing I am trying to confirm is check HTML outlining after installation and disappointed.

But the Whidbey is amazing in the PDC.

Looks like the only good place to find documentation is that little BOOK. No online help yet. :-)
