Vista gadgets with VS20052/21/2007 8:14:08 AM

hello, i'm a french student performing a training period..

I've been asked to create a Vista gadget with VS2005, which gives access and displays further information about customers in the database of their application.

I've never used VS2005, and i'm reading a book about C# & VS2005, but i'm having difficulties..

Could you please explain to me the steps i must realize??

Actually, you don't need to know either C# or Visual Studio to create a gadget. You could use these tools, but you at a bare minimum you could use notepad to edit some XML and HTML files.

Thanks i'm gonna read it.

 

But .. I must develop under those languages ... My training period subject implies it, but i've never used those languages.

I've already done a gadget which provides seeks on internet, but my main problem is: how do i access to the "foxdata" database?

I've been told to use c#, with VS2005 ...

Help me, i'm owned !!!   :x

VS 2005 does not provide any specific support for gadget authoring. Technically you can open files with HTML editor to get basic coloring.
