I'm trying to publish a web site that was created in VS 2005 that is using AJAX/Atlas.  The server is an internal server, i'm a domain admin.  When i try to publish the web site going to the web site i created in the MMC, i get publish failed.  i can't find a log or anything like that to tell me why it failed.  can anyone give me some pointers please

if i publish using UNC, the site publishes, but it can't find the page when i type it in. if i try to publish using http://ipaddress, the publish failes.  I have 1 connection string in the webconfig, but it's not using a DSN...

anyway. hope someone can help

no.. i didn't install it on the server.. i thought i had read that you didn't need to... that the .net 2.0 framework was all that needed to be installed on the server.  So you have to have AJAX insatlled on the server as well....

could you please explain about how it should be installed in a seperate GAC bin folder.... i'm just starting out with ASP.net... been a sql guy for the last 12 years, and a vb guy for the last 4...
