Problem creating a new website and location of the solution file

When I create a new website in VS2005, the solution file for the website is not stored in the same directory as the website (call this c:\inetpub\wwwroot\website1). The solution file is stored in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\website1.

Also, the solution file itself is not visible in the solution explorer - all i can see if the project file for the website.

How do i create a new website so that the website is a project within the solution file and i can then right click the solution to add new projects to this solution.

Hi Andrea,

The best way to do this (I guess) is the following:

You are in the VS.net dev. environment
In the menu click: File --> New Project
In the "New Project" dialog go to: 'Other project types' --> 'Visual Studio Solutions'
Select the 'Blank Solution' template
Store it in a preferred location
If you open the solution you can right-click on it.
You have the choice to add: new/existing project, new/existing website, ...

I think it is also possible to make your own VS.net template (for example: a blank solution, with a new ajax enabled website in it) but I don't know how; maybe you can google on custom vs.net templates.
