How to turn off auto-indent in C# comment block6/20/2007 4:17:47 PM

VS.NET 2005, language C#

Whenever I start a comment block with /* each time I hit [Enter], whether the nexst line is an empty line or an existing line the editor indent it with an asterisk followed by a space.


How can I turn this behavior off? (no more automatic (space)*(space) )

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi,

Go to Tools menu option and then select Options... It will open up a window. There you will find many option realted to Environment of Visual Studio, Text Editor predefined settings. I don't know which option will fulfill your requirement but such settings are found over there.

I went over these options many time, and once again before I reply. There is no setting about this automatic (space)*(space) in a comment block.

As there are a wealth of C# editing formatting options, I hope there should be a way to turn off this auto-indent in a comment block. But how?
