 Hi ,

i get the following error in my solution . the project is under source control with visual sourcesafe

\Error 2 Unable to copy file "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\ProfAdv\Collectv52\Security\Cryptography\bin\Debug\ProfAdv.Security.Cryptography.dll" to "bin\ProfAdv.Security.Cryptography.dll". Access to the path 'bin\ProfAdv.Security.Cryptography.dll' is denied. Collect.Web

Hi robby,

Firstly please ensure your current Windows login account is in the local administrators group. Additionly you should run Visual Studio as Administrator if the operation system is Vista.

Meanwhile, If you ensure the Visual Studio startup process has administrator?s privilege, this access deny issue should be caused by that file is being used/locked by a process. Based on my research, there is a thread in which the poster had a similar issue and he resolved it by creating a pre-build action. For the detailed information, please refer to the following link:
