help! components from my toolbox dissappeared!9/15/2004 8:28:10 PM

This morning I installed a new 3rd party component and added a reference to it in my project. I then went to the VS menu to click on the "Add/Remove Toolbox Items...." menu. For some reason, it took a long time to bring up the checked listbox of components that were already selected (I don't know if this is part of the problem or not...).

When I opened the toolbox in order to drag a component, I discovered that ALL of the standard components had dissappeared (or are greyed and disabled).

So, my question - has anyone heard of anything like this happening in VS? How do I get the standard components back on the toolbar (i.e. textbox, combobox, etc)?

Press the right button on the ToolBox. From the menu select ?Reset ToolBox?. Hopefully that will help. If not, try to remove the 3rd party component.
