Hallo,

i build a Dataconnection with DetailsView to insert new Data to a table.

Now I want to show in this DetailView a DropDownList that is connected to another table.

Example: I have a Table with Car Details

Car: Audi

Color: blue

Speed: 200

Driver: (DropDownList with the currently available Drivers, saved in a nother table)

Driven miles: 50.000

Can somebody help me, or give me a link that is going to help me?

Baccu,

This seems to be a question that a lot of people are asking.  Here is a link to an MSDN magazine article with a quick control you can create to satisfy this requirement (believe me, you'll find use for it).  I found a bug in the article, so check this blog I did including corrected code.

Baccu,

If you look at the MSDN page I linked to, there is a code download in C#.  I have a feeling you may experience the same issue in C# that I ran into in VB and the syntax to fix it should be the same.  On the other hand, I think that Dino is mainly a C# programmer, so the sample may be correct.
