Hello.
I realize this is a starter kit forum question, but the Commerce Starter Kit forum only shows ASP 1.1.
I downloaded and tried to run the CSK 2.0 - VB.Net Source. I followed the instructions in the Install\Help.aspx file. When i try to run it(CTRL-F5) in VS2005 Pro, SP1 on a XP Pro, SP2 standalone computer, i get this error:
"Error 1 It is an error to use a section registered as allowDefinition='MachineToApplication' beyond application level. This error can be caused by a virtual directory not being configured as an application in IIS. C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.TONYDELL\My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\WebSites\VB\Commerce.Web\web.config 40"
I searched this site and found other posters have had this problem and all of the resolutions suggested making some change to IIS.
I'm not using IIS. I do all development and testing in VS2005, which does not require IIS.
Does anybody know how to resolve this error in my situation? Does anybody know if there is someplace in VS2005 to set the IIS options?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Thanks
Tony
