Adding website project to web control library

I am trying to implement an extended image button control in Visual Studio by extending the standard toolkit's image button control.

I am following an article I found on the web (http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/UploadFile/scottlysle/ExtendedImageButton12182006001450AM/ExtendedImageButton.aspx), and have come accross something that has me stumped.

It says "The control is now complete. Prior to testing the control, rebuild the project. Once that has been completed and any errors encountered are repaired, it is time to test the control. To test the control, add a new web site project to the web control library project currently open. Once the test web site has been created, set the test project as the start up project by right clicking on the web site solution in the solution explorer and selecting the ?Set as Start Up Project? menu option. Next, locate the Default.aspx page in the web site solution, right click on this page and select the ?Set as Start Page? menu option."

I do not know how to do this - add a new web site project to the web control library project currently open. I had assumed that right clicking the library in the solution explorer would give my a 'add website project' option, but it is not there.

Can anyone help me? I assume this is a farily simple thing I am missing, but I am trying to self-teach myself ASP.NET and visual studio...

the new project actually needs to be added to your Solution and not to your control project.

perhaps you are not seeing your solution?

thanks for your reply, i did have the solution open - my problem was I was being a novice, and not looking further than my own nose.

i found the 'add new website' option under the main 'file' menu, rather than the right click menu on solution explorer
