Porting MSDE database4/8/2004 10:26:17 PM

I did the development for the portal on one box. Now I want to deploy it on another box which will serve as my production server. I can copy the files over but how do I move the Portal database over ?

Use the SQL Enterprise Manager and "Detach" the database, copy to the production server and "Attach" is to the new SQL Server.

Alternatively, if you do not have Enterprise Manager, you can use SQLDump from here.

Just zipped up the SQL text file and copy over to your production server and run the SQL text file.
