E-mail problems

Hi there,
Can someone please help me with this error i am getting when i am trying to send email from my portal. Where is the setting for the mail server specified.

The "SendUsing" configuration value is invalid.
Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code.

Exception Details: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException: The "SendUsing" configuration value is invalid.

Any help will be highly appreciated.....

Not quite sure what you are using, but this is the very simple code I use to send email:



Dim MyMessage as New MailMessage


MyMessage.To = "[email protected]"


MyMessage.From = "[email protected]"


MyMessage.Subject = "Hello world!"


MyMessage.BodyFormat = MailFormat.Html


dim messageBody = "<html><body><font face=verdana size=2>...</font></body></html>" 


MyMessage.Body = messageBody


SmtpMail.SmtpServer = "192.168.1.1"


SmtpMail.Send(MyMessage)

Don't forget to import System.Web.Mail.
