ASP.NET is the bridge between IIS and the .NET Framework. A machine without something like IIS (or Apache) isn't a web server. Therefore, ASP.NET has no point.

Then explain to me why VB.Net 2003 and Front Page 2000 can access a different server that contains IIS.
