Hello,

I?ve downloaded the Media Library Starter Kit and try to install it. But during the install I get the following error; ?The installer was interrupted before Media Share  Library cloud be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again.

The strange thing is that I get this error on two totally different machines.

I also turned off the Virus scanner and MS AntiSpyWare.

Does some one have a idea?

Works Ok for me, I have installed it just trying to get it to work with 1 database under SQL2005. Tried doing it from memory , but I must haved missed a link

I downloaded this kit and played for half an hour. Some observations:

1. This kit is different from  Personal Site by installing the application as a virtual directory under IIS, so you have to have IIS installed on your machine;

2. You need assign the ASP.NET user to write access to the App_data folder in  your application;

3. You  need add your local user to write to this folder too in order to run within the IDE (for example, VS 2005) for security settings;

4. After installation, you need go to your application setting under IIS (ASP.NET tab) to switch the framwork point to ASP.NET 2.0 instead of ASP.NET 1.1;

5. Read the introduction article may save you some time.

After double clicking the MSI file on my server, on which IIS 6.0 run?s, the installer functioned correctly.

I had the same problem because I originally failed to install IIS.  After installing IIS, the problem went away.  Can't believe it, but, but it's true.  Please keep sharp implements out of my hands! 

Lynch...I feel your pain.

BTW guys it has to be IIS on your server. If you try to install with Vista and IIS it won't fly with that version of IIS. Just a heads up. Sure would be cool to have a little documentation on that.
