Forgot username/password

I managed to forget my username and password. Any idea where that is stored?

Depending on how you setup your site you may have a folder called APP_DATA. Inside that folder you will find a database file that contains a series of tables that store your user information. The good news is that you should be able to figure out your username. The bad news is that the password is encrypted. If you open your website you will should see near the properties window something that looks like a globe (It is late and I cannot remember what the icon is called - sorry). When you click on this it will bring up an asp.net screen that allows you to create and modify login information. Hopefully you will be able to use this to modify your login information.

I guess the main problem I am having is that everything works on my local machine, however things don't work on my host site (go figure). They don't support SQL express, so I'm having to convert to full SQL2005. I converted the personal.mdf to SQL. Does the ASPNETDB.mdf need to get converted as well? How do users/roles work if you go from SQL express to SQL2005? Also, there is a personal-add.sql and a personal-remove.sql. What do these files do?

The personal-add.sql script installs the tables and procedures required for the Personal Starter Kit. You can run it against the SQL 2005 database - but you say you've already converted it. The personal-remove.sql script removes the tables and procedures if you wanted to get rid of them.

Yes, you need to get the security schema (tables and procedures in ASPNETDB) installed into the SQL 2005 database. If you have full control over your remove database server, you can run the aspnetregsql.exe wizard against it to install the security. If you don't, your hosting provider will need to assist - depending on who you're with, it can be done as an installation option via the Control Panel for creating/configuring the database.
