Treeview SelectedNodechanged event5/10/2005 12:15:33 PM

I've populated a tree and set the PopulateOnDemand of a particular set of nodes to false. However, when the one of these nodes is selected the TreeNodePopulate event is being fired for the parent node. This triggers the rebuilding of the nodes. The SelectedNodeChanged event is then fired for the selected subnode. I've also tried setting the TreeNodeSelectAction to select, but the same happens

Is this by design?

Selection always causes a postback.

Whenever the tree posts back to the server - and client side population has taken place the populate function will be recalled to rebuild the tree and nodes (thus your  function is called again).
