TreeView in IE and Mozilla3/23/2005 11:52:26 AM

0/0

Hello,

I've got some amazing problem with TreeView Webcontrol. Using Microsoft.Web.UI.WebControls.dll Mozilla displays my TreeView without problems. But if I try it in IE there is no Tree but just some text with node names( Node1 Node2 Node3...)
Looking at the source in Firefox I see a normal table that simulates my TreeView.
In IE it looks different:
something like this
<?IMPORT NAMESPACE=TVNS IMPLEMENTATION="/webctrl_client/1_0/treeview.htc" />
<tvns:treeview ....
<tvns:treenode Selected="true">
Node1<tvns:treenode>
and so on

what is the problem?

thanks

That is the IE Web Tree Control - not the ASP.NET Web Tree Control. In IE it will use behaviours (not in firefox) - your web VDIR cannot find the HTC's it needs to render itself, like:

/webctrl_client/1_0/treeview.htc

One way (maybe not the best) would be to copy the HTC's for the dir where you build the IE controls from to you VDIR (or VDIR parent as I remember - d:\inetpub\wwwroot\webctrl_client\1_0\).
