Theme Woes (a tale of two servers)8/14/2007 4:34:28 AM

I am having an issue with two servers(xp localhost and 2003 server).  Each is rendering the site in a different way.  I have completely deleted the content and copyed it back up from the source folder.  Still the local copy renders correctly and the remote copy is snafu.  I have made sure the IIS setting for the app is 2.0.  I have made sure all the files are the same.  I have created new pages to eliminate caching ...

Any help would be appreciated,

Are you using the same browser (and version of browser) for both sites? Are both sites compiled or uncompiled?

It's hard to conclude from the available infomation. Could you please provide more about it? What the dissimilarity from the two server?

Yes actually, I had both sites up in the same browser.  The distubing thing is that the problem went away on its own.  This leads me to believe the admin made some changes without telling anyone about them, realized they hosed the site and restored the settings. Angry

I would love to know what could have caused it.  Two of the symptoms on the problem server were there was a margin at the top of the page, also, the themes were not in effect.

 One of the causions may be comes from the settings from machine.config file at C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\[version]\CONFIG.
