The page has one or more <asp:Content> controls that do not correspond with <asp:ContentPlaceHolder> controls in the Master Page3/26/2008 1:53:10 AM

I've used Master Pages for years now.  Ok, sure, one would think this is a simple fix.  I just have a tag malformed or something right?  No.  I still can't figure out why VS 2008 is complaining about this page when I try to view it in Split view when I can't see anything wrong with the master page's syntax.  Keep in mind this is old ported over html from an old .NET app.  I get no compile errors and my page DOES load in the browser just fine.  I just would like to use split view without it wining.

solved it.  Change the tag (if you have it) <title /> in the master page to <title></title>.  What a useless error message as usual.  Wierd error and wierd resolution.  Who knows what other tags can cause that to complain.
