I love master pages, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tell me how you are supposed to use a master page for a content page when that content page is in a subdirectory.
When you do this currently, all of the images are broken/missing (that were on the master page) when viewing the content page.
The only resolution i have seen is to use relative mappings to the images on the master page (ie: ~/images/myimage.jpg)
2 MAJOR drawbacks that i see to this are
1.) You can see the images, but only at runtime now, not at design time
2.) Most including myself dev more than 1 site at a time, thus the root is a virtual directory so it would have to be changed for production (ie: ~/virtualDirectory/images/myimage.jpg to ~/images/myimage.jpg)
Please either confirm this or tell me there is a way that ive just not discovered.
Ive always been very organized in my web sites, but have built several in 2.0 now using master pages - all with the content pages at the same root as the master page (booooo)
Thank you!!!
